ALL-STAR SOCCER AWARD WINNERS: (L-R)

Ashlee Maddox (Clinton)- Most Valuable Defensive Player;  Morgan Mansell (NE Jones)- Most Valuable Offensive Player;  Katie Taylor (Tupelo)- Game Ball Winner for Most Ad Sales; Kristen Olson (New Albany)- Coca-Cola Student Athlete of the Game.

Girls' Game - South 4, North

The South took their sixth consecutive win over the North with a 4-0 blanking to cut the North's series lead to 10-8-2. Morgan Mansell of NE Jones was the star player for the South and was named the Offensive MVP as she tallied a goal and added two assists in the game.  The North's Ashlee Maddox of Clinton was selected as the Defensive MVP while Kristen Olson of New Albany for the North was chosen as the Coca-Cola Student Athlete of the game.

Boys' Game - North 1, South

The North halted the South's two-game winning streak with the one goal shutout to cut the South's series lead to 13-11-7.  The lone goal of the game came in the 3rd minute of the first half as Paxton Bounds of Pearl scored for the North on an assist by B.J. Sanders of Madison Central.  Bounds headed in a superb cross pass by Sanders for the eventual winning score and was named the game's Offensive MVP. The South's Ben Troutman of Ocean Springs was named the game's Defensive MVP. The South's Allec Willis of Oak Grove was selected for the William Winter Award.

The Baptist Rehab Services All-Star Soccer Games will be played at the Clinton High School Soccer Field (Clinton, MS) on Saturday, February 14. Players report on game day: Saturday, February 14.

Guidelines for the All-Star Soccer Game
I. Selection of Coaches:
  • Must have been a member of the M.A.C. for at least three (3) consecutive years.
  • Must have been a head coach in a MHSAA school for at least three (3) years.
  • Must have a lifetime winning record in Soccer.
  • Must have been in State Playoffs at least once in last three (3) years.
  • Can only coach in one all-star game per year.
  • Must abide by the M.A.C. Code of Ethics.
  • Must cooperate with the M.A.C. in the sale of ads.
  • Each All-Star Coach will be given two (2) tickets to the game.
  • Each All-Star Coach will receive $100.00 honorarium.
  • Must have demonstrated by past performance that he/she will fulfill all commitments he/she made concerning his/her all-star player(s) as required and specified to by the M.A.C.
  • Recommendations for these All-Star Coaches come from M.A.C. Soccer Committee based on nomination forms submitted by individual coaches; final approval by the M.A.C. Executive Committee.
II. Selection of Players:
  • Must be a senior graduating with his/her regular class.
  • Must respond to all dated material by the date requested.
  • Must cooperate with the M.A.C. in the sale of ads.
  • Female players must not be pregnant.
  • Must exhibit positive attitude to those in charge at all times.
  • Male players cannot wear earrings. Female players cannot wear earrings in practices or game.
  • Failure to comply with any of these guidelines will result in dismissal from team
