IT'S TIME TO NOMINATE SLOW PITCH SOFTBALL ALL-STARS!

The 2017 All-Star Slow Pitch Softball Games (Seniors Only) will be played at Mack Fanning Field - Newton County High School (Decatur, MS) on Saturday, October 28, 2017; players will report on Game Day:  Saturday, October 28. Check with your players for conflicts with this date prior to nominating. Be sure to review the guidelines before submitting nominations to ensure that your players are in fact eligible.

Admission will be $5; MAC cards will be accepted.

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Coaching Record Update Form must be electronically submitted no later than Monday, August 7, 2017To be considered for All-Star Slow Pitch Softball Coach, you must submit the Coaching Record Update Form 
  • All-Star Slow Pitch Softball Coaches will be selected on Wednesday, August 9.
  • Player Nomination forms must be electronically submitted by Wednesday, August 9.
  • All-Star Slow Pitch Softball Player Selection will be Wednesday, August 16.
  • All-Star Player Participation Forms (to be submitted online) & School Physical (fax to 601-924-3050) are due back by Thursday, August 24.
  • Ads are due no later than Wednesday, September 6.
  • Players will report on Saturday, October 28 at 10:00 AM.  Reporting Instructions will be available 2 weeks prior to game day; be sure to check the website at that time to download them.
  • The 2017 All-Star Slow Pitch Softball Games will be played Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Mack Fanning Field (Newton County High School) in Decatur, MS.
    • The first 1A/2A/3A Game will begin at 12:00 noon followed by the first 4A/5A/6A Game.
    • Slow Pitch Softball All-Stars will be introduced at approximately 2:00 PM.
    • The loser of the 1A/2A/3A Game plays 4A/5A/6A loser after introductions are made followed by the 1A/2A/3A winner vs. 4A/5A/6A winner.

 


Softball Guidelines

  • Must have been a member of the M.A.C. for at least three (3) consecutive years.
  • Must have been a head coach in a MHSAA school for at least three (3) years.
  • Must have a lifetime winning record in Softball.
  • Must have been in State Playoffs at least once in last three (3) years.
  • Can only coach in one all-star game per year.
  • Must abide by the M.A.C. Code of Ethics.
  • Must cooperate with the M.A.C. in the sale of ads.
  • Each All-Star Coach will be given two (2) tickets to the game.
  • Each All-Star Coach will receive $100.00 honorarium.
  • Must have demonstrated by past performance that he/she will fulfill all commitments he/she made concerning his/her all-star player(s) as required and specified to by the M.A.C.
  • Recommendations for these All-Star Coaches come from M.A.C. Softball Committee based on nomination forms submitted by individual coaches; final approval by the M.A.C. Executive Committee.

II. Selection of Players:

  • Must be a senior graduating with her regular class.
  • Must respond to all dated material by the date requested.
  • Must cooperate with the M.A.C. in the sale of ads.
  • Must not be pregnant.
  • Must exhibit positive attitude to those in charge at all times.
  • Cannot wear earrings in practices or game.
  • Failure to comply with any of these guidelines will result in dismissal from team.
