The 2023 Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Football Game will be played in Hattiesburg, MS on Saturday, December 16 at 12 Noon at M.M. Roberts Stadium on the campus of the University of Southern Mississippi.  
 
The 2023 MS/AL All-Star Football Game will be livestreamed through FNUTL.com.  It was also be available through the MAC Network, Roku, AppleTV & Firestick.   Tickets will be available through GoFan.

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • All-Star Football Nominations must be electronically submitted by Wednesday, September 20.
  • Football All-Stars will be selected on Wednesday, October 4.  Players will be announced at the All-Star Football Press Conference.
  • Team Meetings will be held Sunday, October 8 at 1:00 PM.
    • MS/AL Team:  HealthPlex Performance Center (Madison, MS)
  • All-Star Player Participation Forms must be submitted by Wednesday, October 11.
  • The deadline to purchase Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Football Banquet Tickets is Monday, December 11.
  • Mississippi/Alabama Football All-Stars will report to the North Gate of Camp Shelby in Hattiesburg, MS at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, December 12.
  • The Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Football Banquet will be held at on Friday, December 15 at the Thad Cochran Center on the campus of the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS.

Guidelines for the MS/AL All-Star Football Classic

I. Selection of Coaches:
MS/ AL HEAD COACH-
•  Must be a current member of the M.A.C.
• Must have been a member of the M.A.C. for at least three (3) consecutive years.
• Must be a Head Coach in a MHSAA school for a minimum of three years.
• Must have been an On-the-field Assistant Coach in the MS/AL game.
• Must have been the Head Coach in the BBC North/South All-Star Football Game.
• The Head Coach will serve as the Scout Coach the year prior to serving as Head Coach in the MS/AL All-Star Football Game.
• Previous Head Coaches become eligible to be the Head Coach for a second time after a minimum span of 3 years has passed from their first MS/AL Head Coach experience.
 
MS/AL SCOUT COACH-
•  Must be a current member of the M.A.C.
• Must have been a member of the M.A.C. for at least three (3) consecutive years.
• Must be a Head Coach in a MHSAA school for a minimum of three years.
• Must have been an On-the-field Assistant Coach in the MS/AL game.
• Must have been the Head Coach in the BBC North/South All-Star Football Game.
• This position is voted on like the Head Coach and First Time Assistant Coach positions.
 
7 Assistant Coaches will be selected.
 
MS/AL ASSISTANT COACHES (FIRST TIME)-
•  Must be a current member of the M.A.C.
• Must have been a member of the M.A.C. for at least three (3) consecutive years.
• Must be a Head Coach in a MHSAA school for a minimum of three years.
• Must have been an On-the-field Assistant Coach in the BBC North/South All-Star Football Game.
 
MS/AL ASSISTANT COACHES (SECOND TIME)-
•  Must be a current member of the M.A.C.
• Must have been a member of the M.A.C. for at least three (3) consecutive years.
• The Head Coach of the MS/AL All-Star Football Game can select up to 3 assistant coaches that have previously coached in the game as an Assistant Coach.
• Each second time assistant must be a current head coach of a MHSAA member school.
 
MS/AL ASSISTANT COACHES (THIRD TIME)-
•  Must be a current member of the M.A.C.
• Must have been a member of the M.A.C. for at least three (3) consecutive years.
• The Head Coach of the MS/AL All-Star Football Game can select up to 3 assistant coaches that have previously coached in the game as an Assistant Coach.
• Each third time assistant must be a current head coach of a MHSAA member school.
 
MS/AL ADMINISTRATIVE COACHES-
•  Must be a current member of the M.A.C.
•   The Administrative Coach will be appointed by the M.A.C. Executive Director to be approved by the Executive Committee.
 
ALL MS/AL COACHES-
• Must abide by the M.A.C. Code of Ethics.
• Must have demonstrated by past performance that he will fulfill all commitments he made concerning his all-star player(s)/manager as required and specified to by the M.A.C.
• Recommendations for these All-Star Coaches come from M.A.C. Football Committee based on nomination forms submitted by individual coaches; final approval by the M.A.C. Executive Committee.
• In the event that the MS/AL Head Football Coach forfeits their right to coach in the games, the Executive Director and Football Committee Chairman have the authority to appoint a successor.
• Can only coach in one all-star game per year.
 
II. Selection of Players and Managers:
• Must be a senior graduating with his regular class.
• Must respond to all dated material by the date requested.
• Must attend team meeting (if held) unless they have a valid reason. The valid reason must be approved in advance by the M.A.C. Executive Director only.
• Must exhibit positive attitude to those in charge at all times.
• Must be in good standing with MHSAA, MAC,  respective school & coaching staff.
• Cannot wear earrings in practice or game.
 
** A player or coach may be dismissed from the All-Star team at any time by the MAC Executive Director for not complying with these guidelines.
 
A. Selection of Players: Forty (40) players will be chosen, which includes one (1) punter and one (1) kicker will be selected from MHSAA schools.. Each of the eight (8) MHSAA districts must be guaranteed at least one (1) selection. Each of  the seven (7) MHSAA classifications must be guaranteed one (1) selection.  There can be 3 players selected from the same  school (limited to only 2 schools) except as replacement players with prior approval of the game manager.  The players will be selected by a Committee consisting of the seven (7) All-Star Coaches and  members of the M.A.C. Football Committee. The Administrative Coach will be Chairman of the Committee and will vote only in case of a tie. For a player to be selected, he must receive a minimum of seven (7) votes.
 
B. Selection of Managers: The two (2) managers will be selected by the All-Star Coaches and the Administrative Coach. An All-Star Coach's son cannot be selected. Those selected must hold a valid drivers license. The manager will not be paid. Students already enrolled at colleges will not be considered.
