2018 FAST PITCH SOFTBALL ALL-STARS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED!

The 2018 All-Star Fast Pitch Softball Games (Juniors Only) will be played at Jones County Junior College (Ellisville, MS) on Friday, June 1 - Saturday, June 2, 2018; players will report Thursday, May 31. 

Admission will be $5; MAC Cards will be accepted.  Armbands will be available for sale at Friday's game that will be good for both days.

 

 

  

 

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Coaching Record Update Form must be electronically submitted no later than Wednesday, January 17, 2018To be considered for All-Star Fast Pitch Softball Coach, you must submit the Coaching Record Update Form 
  • All-Star Fast Pitch Softball Coaches will be selected on Wednesday, January 24, 2018.
  • Player Nomination forms must be electronically submitted by Wednesday, February 21, 2018.
  • All-Star Fast Pitch Sofball Player Selection will be Wednesday, February 28, 2018.
  • All-Star Player Participation Forms (to be submitted online) & School Physical (fax to 601-924-3050) are due back by Thursday, March 15.
  • Ads are due no later than Thursday, March 22.
  • All-Stars will report Thursday, May 31, 2018.  Reporting Instructions will be available 2 weeks prior to game day; be sure to check the website at that time to download them.
  • The 2018 All-Star Fast Pitch Softball Games will be played Friday, June 1 - Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Jones County Junior College (Ellisville, MS).  Admission will be $5; MAC Cards will be accepted.  Armbands will be available for sale at Friday's game that will be good for both days.
    • Friday, June 1:  
      • 5:00 PM- 1A/2A/3A Game 1
      • 6:45 PM- Player Introductions & Presentation of State Championship plaques
      • 7:00 PM- 4A/5A/6A Game 1
    • Saturday, June 2:
      • 10:00 AM- 1A/2A/3A Game 2
      • 12:00 Noon- 4A/5A/6A Game 2

Softball Guidelines

I. Selection of Coaches:
•  Must be a current member of the M.A.C.
• Must have been a member of the M.A.C. for at least three (3) consecutive years.
• Must have been a head high school softball coach in a MHSAA school for at least three (3) years.
• Must have a lifetime winning record in softball.
• Must have been in State Playoffs at least once in last three (3) years.
• Can only coach in one all-star game per year.
• Must abide by the M.A.C. Code of Ethics.
• Must cooperate with the M.A.C. in the sale of ads.
• Each All-Star Coach will receive $100.00 honorarium.
• Must have demonstrated by past performance that he/she will fulfill all commitments he/she made concerning his/her all-star player(s) as required and specified to by the M.A.C.
• Recommendations for these All-Star Coaches come from M.A.C. Softball Committee based on nomination forms submitted by individual coaches; final approval by the M.A.C. Executive Committee.
II. Selection of Players:
• Slow Pitch players must be a senior graduating with her regular class and in good standing with MHSAA,MAC, respective school & coaching staff. 
• Fast Pitch players must be a junior in good standing with MHSAA, MAC, respective school & coaching staff.
• Must respond to all dated material by the date requested.
• Must cooperate with the M.A.C. in the sale of ads.
• Must not be pregnant.
• Must exhibit positive attitude to those in charge at all times.
• Cannot wear earrings in practices or games.
 
** A player or coach may be dismissed from the All-Star team at any time by the MAC Executive Director for not complying with these guidelines.
 
III. To be eligible for selection, all player nominations must be electronically submitted on the M.A.C. website five working days before the date of the Selection Committee Meeting.
